Error CLI Console

Hy everybody !

 

I want to modify the time administrator password lockout and when i enter the following command in CLI Console

 

config system global set admin-lockout-threshold 1 set admin-lockout-duration 300 end is show me an error ....like this one bellow 6694: Unknown action 3 Command fail. Return code -1   What shall i do ? I have a Fortigate 90D. Thank you.

    Welcome to the forums.

     

    The CLI is very informative if you know how to ask it.

     

    Type any of the preceding commands without the number at the end, but use a question mark. The firmware will tell you the available options. If they are numeric it will tell you the range allowed to be used. Give that a try.

    Both are taken by our FG60D v5.4.8. Did you paste these lines together into console? Which line actually give you that error when you type them manually one line at a time?

     

     xxxxx (global) # get  --<snip>--  admin-lockout-duration: 60  admin-lockout-threshold: 3  --<snip>--

     

     xxxxx (global) # set admin-lockout-threshold 1    xxxxx (global) # set admin-lockout-threshold 3

     

     xxxxx (global) # show  config system global      set admin-lockout-duration 300      set admin-lockout-threshold 1  --<snip>--

    I have a fortigate 90d with firmware version 5.4.5. 

    I change in the mode (global) with the command config global

    Afther that when I enter get a message appear 

    Command fail. Return code -160
     
    no object in the end

    When I enter set admin-lockout-threshold 1 a message appear 

    Unknown action 0

     

    When I enter show, in global mode it's appear different commands....and more, i do not have any errors What to do next ? Thank you

    The model number is less important than the level of firmware. Both are required for us to provide you with a more accurate answer. Please get for us you firmware version.
