The fortiextender I have is not clear on what hardware release it is,
what is the difference between firmware release FEXT_40D_AMEU-v4.0.2 and
the FEXT_40D-v4.0.2 firmware?I am in Florida so I assume the model is

Hi, I basically cratered my network authorizing 2 standalone 124E-FPOE
switches to be managed inside a 60D fortigate. the 60D is on 6.0.9 and
the switches are on 6.4.1 I enabled the DMZ port for switch management

I went onsite today, and was able to confirm the hardware revision was
the AMEU.. so I went with that firmware version. All is well with the
fortiextender and works as advertised. I am calling this post closed.
I was able to sort it out today, it came down to the ports all
defaulting the native VLAN to the one associated with the Management of
the switches, Once I dialed the VLAN IDs into the right IDs the system
