Solution
Backing up your saved configuration to offbox (remote location)
If you are upgrading an existing N+1 configuration, this must be done for each Master controller:
First copy the running config as some backup file by using the below command
controller#copy running-config backupconfig
Then copy the backupconfig file out off the box
controller# copy backupconfig ftp://user:password@offbox-ipaddress/backupconfig .
Restoring your saved configuration from the offbox (remote location)
To restore a configuration to the saved version:
- Copy the backup configuration
back to the
controller:
controller# copy ftp://user:passsword@offbox-ipaddress/backupconfig . - Copy the saved configuration file to the running
configuration
file:
controller# copy backupconfig running-config - Save the running configuration to the start-up
configuration:
controller# copy running-config startup-config
