Technical Tip: Temperature and Power Supplies down alerts

Description
This article describes errors related to high temperature even if the latest firmware is running and how to avoid it.

Scope
For Fortiswitch-1024D.

Solution
1) If bad modules are used on FortiSwitch-1024D, notice errors related to high temperature will be noticed even if the latest firmware is running.

# diag sys pcb temp
CPU Board Temp: 255C
Main Board Temp: 255C 255C

2) Do not use FG-TRAN-GC (FCLF8521P2BTL) or FN-TRAN-GC (FCLF8522P2BTL) on FortiSwitch-1024D.
It is possible to check FCLF852XP2BTL (X can be 0 or 1 or 2) which are not advisable.

Use Supported Modules like FS-TRAN-GC for FortiSwitch.
Example: FCLF-8521-3
