Description This article describes how to reset the local user password on FortiSASE.
Scope FortiSASE.
Solution

Below is the portal URL to reset the FortiSASE local user password:
FortiSASE Forgot Password 

In situations when a user does not receive the password reset email after a few minutes, then it indicates that the submitted information on the portal is incorrect.

On the password reset portal, cross-check the submitted information with the below template:

Note: Tenant ID should be inserted in 'Primary Account/ID' section, not the Account ID displayed from the Fortinet support portal (Support Portal).

 

If an Account ID is entered, the user will not receive the password reset email and will be unable to successfully reset the password.


Username: Email inserted during user creation on the FortiSASE portal.

Once the 'Primary Account/ID' and 'Username' information is correctly entered, the user should receive a password reset email within a few minutes, select the 'Reset Password' to reset the user password accordingly.

Steps to retrieve Tenant ID:

  1. Log in to the FortiSASE portal, Select 'Resend Invitation Email' under Configuration -> Users & Groups, and select the specific local user to edit.

  2. The user should receive an onboarding email from 'noreply@fortisase.com', select 'Login' to retrieve the Tenant ID:

  3. Tenant ID will be displayed accordingly then the user can apply the information on the password reset portal.
