Description This article describes how to add a new user/administrator in FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud.
Scope

FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud.

Solution

Note:

All FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud administrator account & log-in processes are handled by FortiCloud.

This is different than standard FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer appliances. Users, which are under Administrators, are not affecting the login process.

 

Steps:

  1. Login to FortiCloud (support.fortinet.com) and create FortiCloud user account:
    1. Adding FortiCloud Secondary user, or:

    2. Adding FortiCloud IAM users.

Note: Ensure permission to FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud is allowed.

 

  1. Next, proceed to access the FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud instance with a newly created FortiCloud user account via:
    1. https://fortimanager.forticloud.com or https://fortianalyzer.forticloud.com/.

    2. https://support.fortinet.com -> Services -> FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud.

  2. A new administrator will be created automatically within the FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud instance:

Note:

  • New FortiCloud user must access to FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer Cloud instance first to have administrator auto-created in the system.
  • By default, the new administrator will have a 'Restricted_User' admin profile assigned.

 

  1. FortiCloud master user or another FortiCloud user (with 'Super_User' admin profile) can assist to edit the administrator admin profile:

    Cloud instance -> System Settings -> Administrators -> Select the user -> Edit -> Make changes to admin-profile.

Note: Existing users are required to re-login to get new admin-profile permissions.
