Technical Tip: How to enable password change feature for LDAP user in webmail in FortiMail server mode

Description

This article describes how to allow LDAP user to change the password via Webmail FortiMail server mode.

Scope

All supported versions of FortiMail.

Solution

1. Go to Profile -> LDAP and select the LDAP profile applied to the user.
2. Edit the LDAP Profile. Make sure LDAPS is used for the communication between FortiMail and LDAP server.
3. Go to Advanced Options and enable Enable Webmail password change.

4. To change the password, login to Webmail, go to Preferences and select 'Change Password'.
