Definition:

S.M.A.R.T. stands for Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology.
It is a monitoring system for hard drives that detects and reports based on various indicators of reliability.
There is no current standard for it.

Below is a list of commands for the different FortiMail platforms to obtain disks attributes.

FortiMail 100:

diagnose sys smartctl ata /dev/hdc

FortiMail 400:

diagnose sys smartctl ata /dev/hda
diagnose sys smartctl ata /dev/hdb

FortiMail 400B:

diagnose system smartctl ata /dev/sda
diagnose system smartctl ata /dev/sdb

FortiMail 2000A:

diag system smartctl 3ware,[0-5] /dev/twa0
where [0-5] must be replaced with the desired hard drive number.

FortiMail 4000A:

diag system smartctl 3ware,[0-11] /dev/twa0
where [0-11] must be replaced with the desired hard drive number.
