Description
This article describes how to deploy FortiGate in Azure from 'Marketplace'.

Scope
- User with privileges to create the instance in Azure.
- Minimum one valid Subscriptions have to be available.

Solution
1).
- Login to the Azure portal.
- Check the subscription where FortiGate needs to be placed.

2).
- Directly search 'Marketplace' in Azure search bar and select 'Marketplace'.
Or
- Select left top navigation pane and select '+ Create a Resource'.

Or
- Search 'All Resource', select 'All Resource' select '+ ADD' on Top.

Note.
Step 2) is few options to Navigate to Azure Marketplace which containing thousands of applications and services including FortiGate VM.

3).





- Select appropriate License Plan (PAYG or BYOL) and then select 'Create'.

Note.
Select BYOL if device License is present. In PAYG, Azure will take care of the device license based on the plan selected.

4).
- Fill all the Required field under 'Project details', 'Instance details' and 'Administrator account' details.
- Once the above details and select 'Review + Create' other fields like 'Disks', 'Networks'..etc will be filled automatically.
Or
- To Fill 'Disks', 'Networks'..etc  fields manually select 'Next' until 'Review + Create' tab.
- Under 'Review + Create' wait for the Validation to pass and select 'Create'.
- Wait for the Deployment to Complete.

Note.
Based on the 'Size' Filed, license will be provided. Select the “Size” based on the business requirement.

5).
- Once VM is created, go to the resource and check the Public IP from the network tab to access the FortiGate.
- Access the Firewall via HTTPS or SSH.
- Use the 'Username and Password' provided under 'Administrator account' during the FortiGate VM Build.
