Technical Note: Enable SSL VPN plugin in Firefox 52

Description

Firefox 52 does not support SSL VPN browser plugin.

Solution

It can be enabled using the following steps.

1) Close Firefox
2) Uninstall Fortinet’s SSL VPN client
3) Open Firefox
4) In the address bar, type:    about:config
5) Accept Firefox’s warning
6) Right-click over any object and click on ‘New’ > ‘Boolean’
7) As a preference name, type: plugin.load_flash_only
8) Click on ‘OK’ and a new dialog box will appear
9) As a Boolean value, select ‘false’ and click on ‘OK’
10) Restart Firefox
11) Install the SSL VPN client
