Description

It is good practice to change organization's passwords from time to time.  If the password of IPLocks admin in internal repository is changed then it must also be changed for the application.

Note: This applies to Oracle and DB2, but not for PostgreSQL internal databases.

Scope
IPLocks 6.2, password, DB2, Oracle, Internal Database.
Solution

The login password for the internal database is stored in the install.properties file.  It can be changed by following these steps:

1. Edit  install.properties with any text editor and enter, in clear text, a new value for the dbPassword.
2. Run RegenEnv utility from $IPLOCKS_HOME/bin in order to encrypt the password.

IPLocks will now use the updated password to access the internal repository database.
