Description
This article describes how to stop a faulty backup job.
The backup will not stop after FortiAnalyzer reboot.
Solution
Shortly after executing backup task, the cancel option becomes unavailable:
# exec backup logs all scp 192.168.0.2 fortinet fortinet /home/fortinet/BACKUP/
This will start a new backup session, Do you want to continue? (y/n)y
To quit the backup process, Press 'Q/q' then <Enter>.
Uploading for device xenon-kvm60(FGVM020000085686[root]) (1/1)...
Backup logs: 1/71 file(s).

To stop the ongoing backup job, use the following command which will attach to the current backup session and will provide an option to cancel it:
# exec backup logs all scp
Previous backup session is in progress.
Backup is in progress.
To quit the backup process, Press 'Q/q' then <Enter>.
Uploading for device xenon-kvm60(FGVM020000085686[root]) (1/1)...
Q
This operation will stop the backup of log files!
Do you want to continue? (y/n)y

Note: Use similar logic for other methods of backup.
To stop running back:
# dia test app uploadd 57
