Is it possible to enforce AV usasge on a linux client

Hello all,

We are just kicking tires on fortinet products just trying to find out what level of control we might have over linux desktop users
I work at a small university with a cadre of researchers and profs that use linux desktops. Of course our options for desktop mgmt is minimal other than forcing them to use cifs to connect to their file shares . Is there  away to only allow them to connect to our resources vial fortinet VPN and have that VPN only work if say

-AV is installed
-App Armour is on or SELinux is enforced?
