how to properly configure ipsec vpn on fortigate 4.0mr3

hi all,

i need help configuring dialup ipsec vpn between headoffice firewall and branch fortinet client.

currently this is not working.

my customer has fortigate mr3..i have followed the steps for phase 1 n phase 2 in the cookbook  for mr3.

the fortigate fw is behind a router. below is the architecture:

lan------fortigate fw-------router(PPPoE/DynDNS)--------internet

the lan ip subnet of the fw = 172.16.x.x

the wan ip subnet of the fw = 192.168.x.x

i created a default route to the router like this : 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 <ip of router>

on the router : i have forwarded all ports to the firewall and and also enabled VPN passthrough. The router make is LinkSys.

For my tests : I tried using latest version of the Forticlient.

please help on this. is there anything wrong so far?
