Interface move

The ability to move VLAN interfaces from either physical or 802.3ad interfaces to another interface and have all references updated would be nice. As well as the ability to make a physical interface into a 802.3ad interface when more capacity is needed. The current method of removing all references from all interfaces and then rebuilding them is tedious.

There is no such function in the GUI or CLI. But it can be easily achieved if you rewrite und restore the config. e.g.: before:
 edit " myVLAN"
 set vdom " root"
 set ip 1.2.3.4 255.255.255.0
 set allowaccess ping
 set interface " port1"
 set vlanid 1
 next

after:
 edit " myAggregateIntf"
 set vdom " root"
 set type aggregate
 set member " port1" " port2"
 set lacp-mode active
 next

 edit " myVLAN"
 set vdom " root"
 set ip 1.2.3.4 255.255.255.0
 set allowaccess ping
 set interface " myAggregateIntf"
 set vlanid 1
 next

The only drawback is, that you have to reboot the unit on configuration restore.

Yes I have used this method by editing the configuration in a text editor and then just pasting the edited copy into the CLI after removing all the original references to avoid the reboot. It is still tedious

I would like to vote for this feature. We have both copper and optical ports and occasionally we have to move from one to the other. We currently use the backup/edit/restore method but it is tedious and error prone. We looked at using zones, but they won' t work with a VPN defined.
