Hello,
I really hope I don't have a corrupt FM config. Everything seemed to be working fine until I noticed cattools failing on the nightly backup. Couldn't figure out the cattools issues so I setup a linux ftp server and the backup file transfered but the file is just filled with this.
???P?D=?8??]??0?5őʺ??t3?1w?'?榠?/h~44?ͷ?摀??LЬ4O?]??AsJ?\44?4? ?k?斠?f??<`?PA??yZ??4ͳ?fa?\4?;?ͦA?C??4??s??%A?꠹*h? ??+A?`??6`?4??;h???????.??s)dU?w~O9BNA/?\?????r=z??s%TU??٪?????_?V?U?at???????l? I then did a backup through the web gui and I'm getting the same output. I did a diag sys fsck harddisk thinking that might help but it didn't. I'm a little worried the FortiManager is going to fall over. I do have a backup from a few weeks ago but I'd rather figure out why or how this happen and try to fix it without using a old backup file. Any help would be great. Thanks!what is the FMG platform and version#?
pls provide
diag pm2 check-integrity all diag dvm check-integrity diag system print df
Thanks
simon

seems db looks OK, and if you using CLI to backup config to FTP server, still see a broken .dat file?
Thanks
Simon
I've tried the automated back up (config sys backup all-settings).
I've tried execute backup all-settings ftp...
I've tried backing up through the web gui.
I just get a bunch of scrambled text no matter what. I have used multiple computers to do this. It doesn't make any sense.
can you open a ticket, and see if we can remote access to your FMG or maybe can setup a remote session with you to troubleshoot on your FMG?
you can send me the ticket ID so I can follow up your ticket
Thanks
Simon
