Upgrade of AWS FortiGate from a single CPU to four CPUs

Greetings to everyone,

I would like to inquire you about upgradation about aws single CPU to 4 CPU the instance which is running in aws Active and passive aws backend both instance having 4 CPU and 16Gb memory  however Fortinet licence preceptive we have only single CPU licences both vm we were facing some bottleneck so because of that we purchased 4 CPU licences from Fortinet  before during the upgrade i created case with Fortinet and i took assistance with multiple support people what would be the best practice to perform the activity each of them said no impact because of licence upgrade no issue will occurs however i took backup from each instance verify HA sync everything  then first i have registered with new serial numbers in Fortinet customer portal after upgrading the licence  it was created additional vm004 two devices from their i had downloaded the licence file and uploaded int o primary FortiGate firewall as soon as upload the file the VM went to restart without giving any prompt after that the instance during this time my whole production went down there was no internet  after this issue was going on when i check from AWS backend the route which was configured for Lan  under the route there two subnet attached LAN-01 and LAN-02 this two subnet was detached from the route and there was one more issue I found the DNS which was configured internal after reattached the subnet and DNS the secondary firewall become working fine however my confusion is after upgrade and restart the VM how come the subnet was missing this was big confusion if anyone can help why this would happened its very helpful  however after changing the DNS the primary instance came back upgraded with 4 CPU
