WAF Security Profile on IPv4 Firewall rule with NAT option

Hello all,

I have a question about WAF on Fortigate Firewall. When I want to add the WAF Security Profile on IPv4 Firewall rule there is an option for Natting. I have gone throught Fortinet Documentations and I have seen in all Fortinet Documentations that the NAT optionis enabled on IPv4 Firewall rule when we use WAF.

Why are we using NAT option? Can we disable it? Or is it mandatory?

Thanks and BR,

Kenan

Hi Kenan,

Your inquiry is being looked into as we speak. We are trying to locate someone who can assist you with the issue of figuring out the purpose of the NAT option, as well as seeing if there is a way to disable the NAT option.

Thank you!
