Fortigate 40F - 2 identical ports (with the same vlans)

Hello, I would like to ask you because I am in the process of configuring a Fortigate 40F where I have a port which goes to a switch with TAGs (vlan). But I would like to define another port of the Fortigate with the same TAG (vlan) which goes to another managed switch. How can I define a second port with the same vlans? A big thank you to you. Olivier

Hello @Olivier-france ,

You can use the Software-switch feature on your FortiGate. Firstly, you need to create a software-switch interface. After that, you can create sub interface under this software-switch interface.

All interface in software-switch works with the same settings.

You can review this document about switch interface and vlan.

Hi @Olivier-france,

You can put both physical ports under a hardware switch. Please refer to https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.4.3/administration-guide/100999/hardware-switch

After that, you create a VLAN subinterface under that hardware switch.

Regards,
