VPN fails with "Did not find interface for local_gwy"
A couple of Windows 11 users have trouble connecting to VPN using FortiClient 7.2.2.0864. The error in the logs is:
FortiSslvpn: 27792: Did not find interface for local_gwy
KB2693643 is not installed nor are any of the Windows optional features for RSAT.

Hi @Stephen3
Have you tried uninstall/install it again on these end users ,you may run the below debug commands on FGT cli to get more detail info:
diag debug enable
diag debug console timestamp enable
diag deb application fnbamd -1
diag debug app sslvpn -1
If this FCT it is licensed l would suggest to open an ticket in order check the issue why its failing.

Hi @Stephen3,
That error message indicates a client side issue. Have you tried ethernet and WiFi? Both doesn't work? You can also try a different FortiClient version.

We're using the free version of FortiClient, so it seems that I can't ask support when it doesn't work.
Is there anything more useful than "your users' laptops/network/internet must not work right" that we can look at? The VPN works just fine for some users, so it shouldn't be a config issue.
Edit: User reports no issues with Cisco AnyConnect VPN from the same system... so it's unlikely to be their network or laptop that is the problem.
