The connection is always interrupted !

Hello everybody !

I'm using IPsec vpn to connect two LANs through the internet. One side (60E) connected to the other through dynamic dns while the other (30E) connected by static public ip address.

Periodically the connection is interrupted. I cannot access any local resources in the other side, but still the status for the connection shown it's UP. After I reboot the system the connection work fine and I can access all resources on the other side.

Any suggestions to fix this problem?!

Thanks

What do you think is causing the connection to be interrupted? When you refer to rebooting the system are you referring to the PC or to a FortiGate?

I don't know !

Rebooting the fortiGate

Do you have "auto-keepalive" enabled? Have a look at the phase2 parameters. It might be that when the SA times out it's not recalculated. Should always be enabled.

No it's not enabled

So I have to enable it only?!

Thanks

Then do it. Should always be enabled.
