Question on FortiGate HA

Is it mandatory that replication must be active all the time between primary/active fortigate and secondary/passive fortigate?

If so, why the memory usage and other details are not in sync on both devices? Please explain with some examples. Thank you!

"memory usage and other details are not in sync"; it is normal to be different as they depend on the load on each device. They Synchronize the routing table, DHCP information, running configuration

Hi @khagskhap,

All the sessions are not sync between master and slave units. The session table output will show different number of sessions on each device. Hence, you will see different CPU/Memory utilization on each unit in an HA Cluster.

Please refer to the below link for details.
