Ipsec dialup vpn static ip assignment for connected peers

I am looking for a way to assign static ips to devices connected to a fortigate via a dialup vpn. As a bonus i would like to add these ips to the fortigate's dns server so they could be accessible via name.

I have checked the administration guide for version 6.4.9 (which is the one my device has) but i havent been able to find anything. My device is a 101-F.

Is there any way to do this?

Hi,

You can configure with DHCP address reservation and assign the fixed IP address for each client.Kindly refer the below document.

Hi @hernies,

If you have dns-suffix configured and VPN user is using the correct DNS server, their hostnames should be updated automatically. https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-How-to-set-DNS-suffix-for-VPN-SSL-and-IPse...
