ICMP on VIP' s

Hi We have a VIP policy with 2 ports we forward. Now I would like to enable PING as well, but isn' t it possible to port forward a ICMP port in a VIP? Thx Wayne

As ICMP has no ports there is no port-forwarding with it! You can only have ICMP transported to your virtual server, if you have a normal VIP and not a port-forwarding one! br, Roman

Uuups, you like to make me look completely stupid I had read now the spec of the ICMP protocol and I guess understand it now. Thx for your clarification. Wayne
