Fortimail license expiration
Hello guys,
What will happen to my fortimail once licenses expire?
Will it be able still to send/relay emails?
What about protection, antispam, content and URL filtering?
Thank you in advance.

Hi @vvanja
Please follow the document - https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.4.1/administration-guide/289376/license-expiration
Email Filtering |
Spam filtering stops working, as it queries the FortiGuard spam filtering server in real-time to check spammer IP addresses and emails (except those that are locally configured), phishing URLs, spam URLs, spam email checksums, and spam submissions. Anti-spam signatures are not updated. Profile options based on local spam filtering continue to work. For more information, see Email filter. |
Best regards,
Erlin

@vvanja
When your license expires, you will still be able to send/receive emails, but no protection will be provided. Traffic will pass unscanned

Hello
I guess FortiGuard scan will be disabled and signatures will not be updated anymore.
But what about basic scans, like SPF, AV, DKIM and so?
