FortiGate as PPTP client

Hello, Maybe today this is a little silly question, but can FortiGate devices act like PPTP clients? Thanks! :)

Not that I know of, and not covered by the FortiOS Handbook. The question is not silly; using this protocol might be...dangerous.

Yes they can! But only the soho devices. Check the CLI under the interfaces!

Don' t know how I missed this thread but yes you can; SOHOJ (internal1) # show full-configuration | grep pptp set pptp-client enable set pptp-user " maryblanchard" set pptp-password ENC SqOxPJQrT/y/eZOMsam3YFEzBoiLKxwmiGoJtZXlXDm0bhtivtT8odK4wDtgcsKudpyAgvtqZxoih62GcHj53kNWUg+jLWnwYWMN5nOHJFIeShXQGMgOgEUMXI5QcXof3uDuMXi7rwLU0+d4mDKOgyEgrdVaUoNQqlY68yedD9nhB/5GSiQ1XcU6zJyliHms8Ulz9g== set pptp-server-ip x.x.x.x set pptp-auth-type chap set pptp-timeout 200 it' s quite simple

+1 to learn for me... I looked up my ' WAN' interface which is in PPPoE mode on a 60B and there are no PPTP options. But with the ' internal' interface...
