FortiEDR USB tethering

Hello,

anyone knows how to use FortiEDR device control to prevent users from using USB tethering ? If I turn on device control and try usb tether it triggers -USB Miscellaneous Device Detected which is not very specific. Can you somehow specify blocking just RNDIS for example ?

I did a quick search and it looks like there is no specific policy to block RNDIS. I would suggest to submit a NFR over your local Fortinet representatives to add this as a new feature. In the meantime you can use the policies: USB Mass Storage Device Detected (smartphones) and USB Wireless Controller Device Detected.
