FortiClient error "The server you want to connect requests identification..."

Hello,

I have the following error with FortiClient, which I haven't been able to solve.

"The server you want to connect requests identification, please choose a certificate and try again. (-5)"

I've seen some reports about Internet Properties settings, where TLS weren't selected. There were selected on my computer.

The version of FortiClient is 7.0.2.

A valid certificate has been selected.

Windows version is 10.0.19044.

In Internet Properties, Use TLS 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2 are selected.

Any help?

Hello Anthony,

Sorry for late reply.

Thanks for your answer.

I have tried the steps described in the link you sent. Things were already ok.

The issue was actually related to the way I have installed the certificate file, the .pfx one.

During installation I have chosen to install the certificate for the machine while it has to be installed for the current user.

After reinstallation of the certificate, everything worked fine.

Regards,

Alain
