Don't upgrade to FortiOS 7.4.2 on FortiGate

Tonight I updated three Fortigates with version 7.4.2... and it's a disaster if you use SD-WAN.
The update applies easily, but then the SD-WAN has a serious malfunction that prevents switching between interfaces, and above all, the rules and performance SLAs do not work properly and you will have problems. It's a shame because everything seemed to work well... we await the next release and in the meantime, we will roll back to 7.4.1, which at least works decently.

Hi Thege,

We are sorry for the issue you are facing with 7.4.2 version. To understand that exact scenario why SDWAN and the relevant features are not working as expected, we will need to verify the logs and confirm if it is a firmware issue.

I would recommend creating a TAC ticket to get the required logs to analyze.

Vimala

Every network has something unique to it that just cannot be simulated in a lab, I know because I have tried. You can simulate something close, or at least closer than any other company will, but you can’t cover it all. Putting real production traffic is the final layer of testing.

We need logs to find what the issue is related to. Sometimes, the root cause shows on logs. If we can't find the cause on logs, we can get a close configuration to reproduce in our lab through a ticket. The purpose is to find the root cause, and then our team will fix them.
