Connection problem with other switch

Good evening, when i try to’ Connect a simple 4 port switch to the main fortinet 148f-poe sometimes it doesn’t give me the correct IP address.

Do you know what the problem could be?

First, try sniff traffic from DHCP server side to check if DHCP requests are coming and responses are sent.

Hello, i check the traffic from DHCP server and sometimes the ip is send and sometimes not.

If i Connect directly my pc at fortiswitch the ip is always send and i haven’t any problem of network.

I can’t understand what is the problem.

What type of switch is this 4-port switch, is this an unmanaged switch just spanning an access VLAN from FSW (hub)? Does the FSW has any security mechanism implemented like: port security, MAC learning limit, DHCP snooping?
