Auto logout from Fortigate 100E
Recently i noticed that we get log out from our 100E after 1-2mins especially if we have many browser tabs open and we are not at the firewall tab.
Under System->Settings->Idle timeout has been increased from 5 to 10 mins.
After changing to 10mins, it still happens.
The only change recently is we renewed the fortinet support license which was updated yesterday.
Could this be the issue ?
Should i schedule a reboot of the fortigate.
firmware version is 6.4.7.

This is a quite strange situation.
The only reason I can imagine is that you have more admin logins active than concurrently allowed. Although this is a bit farfetched. There is a paramter for this in
config system global
show full
including the term "concurrent".
Besides, I would update to the latest v6.4 which is v6.4.9 at the moment.

Hello,|
Good day!
May I have the following details from you?
1. Is the auto logout happening on for all public users or only on one user?
2. Any changes made recently? (eg. firmware upgrade, configuration changes)
3. Does this happen on other web browsers? (eg. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer)
4. Are you getting logged out from SSH/ console too?
5. Do you have any messages in logs related to this?
6. Share the crash log report - "diag debug crashlog read"

1. Is the auto logout happening on for all public users or only on one user?
it happens when we logged to the firewall WAN IP. only the admins, 2 of us.
As we have IPSec tunnel to the remote office. if we access the firewall using the LAN IP, the logout does not happen. only happens if we use the WAN IP.
2. Any changes made recently? (eg. firmware upgrade, configuration changes)
no changes made recently.
the only change is we setup SD-WAN on the firewall at our HQ, as we added a 2nd Internet line. Internet 1, cost=5, Internet 2, cost=8.
3. Does this happen on other web browsers? (eg. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer)
tested on both Chrome Microsoft Edge.
4. Are you getting logged out from SSH/ console too?
only web gui. it don't happend on SSH.
5. Do you have any messages in logs related to this?
No.
6. Share the crash log report - "diag debug crashlog read"

This happens only with my Company PC. If I am using my private PC I don't have any same Problems. Looks like an Problem with our Proxy or Browserconfig...

Hi
did you try to open in "Incognito mode" ?
Or by resetting the browser settings to default.
