Alternate supported Product instead of "FortiClient VPN" ?

Hi,

Which supported Product shall I purchase instead of the non-supported "FortiClient VPN" ?

(Windows Server 2016, only SSL-VPN usage)

For example, during testing "FortiClient VPN" I was not able to restore a modified configuration or see verbose details in the log.

What do you mean that FortiClient is "non-supported"?  Why would you not use FortiClient?

The Download-Site for "FortiClient VPN" (https://www.fortinet.com/de/support/product-downloads) describes, that the explicite VPN-Version of FortiClient have no Support included:

"Die reine VPN-Version von FortiClient bietet SSL VPN und IPSecVPN, umfasst jedoch keine Unterstützung. Laden Sie die beste VPN-Software für mehrere Geräte herunter."

Did I misunderstand an aspect ?
Or would FortiClient be the supported alternative ?

If yes, could you give me a Link ?


I need only basic features like SSL-VPN, configuration restore and verbose logging

The free (unsupported) version of "FortiClient VPN" software has the ability to do debugging/logging and you can backup/restore a configuration for the client. You just need to click on the "Lock" icon, then you'll be able to modify the System and Logging settings.

That just means there is no support by Fortinet TAC if you need assistance.  There is a paid license tier that has full Fortinet TAC support.
