Hi

It will work. you need to put same os in fortigate 60D( if 60E is 5.4.6 then load the same in 60D).

open 60E backup and replace the head 60E to 60D

example:-

#config-version=FGT60E-5.4-FW-build762-171212:opmode=0:vdom=

  to

#config-version=FGT60D-5.4-FW-build762-171212:opmode=0:vdom=

*note:- confirm both device have same number of interface

Hi,

Is it okay that Fortigate 60D configuration restore into 60E and then working fine.

Thanks,

For both OPs (hijacking is becoming a fashion lately...):

no, you cannot just restore a config file from a different hardware.

For a 60D to 60E, or vice versa, you will have to adjust the number and names of the ports. Apart from that the hardware is similar enough that a restore will go through. Remember to modify the file header as described.

After the reboot, type in the CLI

diag debug config read

to get a list of configuration errors, if any.
