Solution |
Upgrade the FortiSwitch from the GUI.
Depending on the FortiSwitch, there may be a dedicated management port with an IP address of 192.168.1.99/255.255.255.0, or an in-band internal interface with the same IP address 192.168.1.99/255.255.255.0.
Username: admin no password
It may ask for the password to be set.

If unable to access the FortiSwitch, gain console access to the FortiSwitch and check the followingconfiguration:
get system interface <- Check if the management port or internal interface has the default IP 192.168.1.99. show system interface <- Check if the management or internal interface has ssh, https, ping allowed.

After gaining GUI access to the FortiSwitch, upgrade the FortiSwitch to the same version as that of the RMA unit:
For Standalone FortiSwitch.
It is possible to restore the config file to this FortiSwitch using the command 'execute restore config ftp/tftp/sftp'. Refer to the following link: execute.
