Description

 

This article provides instructions on activating Anti-Ransomware for endpoints on FortiSASE and offers guidance on verifying the status of the feature on the device.

 

Scope

 

FortiSASE and FortiClient.

 

Solution

 

Anti-Ransomware is enabled on a per-profile basis. See the administration guide for instructions on how to configure it.

To verify if Anti-Ransomware features are active on the endpoints, follow the steps below:

  • Select Network -> Managed Endpoints.
  • Select the desired endpoint and select View Endpoint Details.

  • Under FortiClient, it shows the Profile Sync Status.
  • Scroll down to Anti-Ransomware in the Feature table as shown in the below screenshot, which shows Anti-Ransomware is Installed, Enabled, and Visible on this endpoint.

On a MacOS device with the same assigned endpoint profile, the profile sync status displays as 'In Sync.' However, due to the lack of Anti-Ransomware support in FortiClient on MacOS, the Anti-Ransomware feature is indicated as not installed.
