Description

This article describes the issue when a Device request is not visible from Fortimail to FortiAnalyzer.

Scope

FortiMail.

Solution

If the remote logging is already configured in the Fortimail but it is not possible to see any new device request in the FortiAnalyzer, try the following suggestions:

  1. Make sure there are no security devices that are blocking the FortiAnalyzer port like UDP/TCP 514.
  2. Try to do the traffic capture and make sure the FortiAnalyzer can receive the packet sent from the FortiMail.
  3. If the FortiAnalyzer can receive the packet from FortiMail but cannot see the new device request even though the ADOM mode is enabled in the FortiAnalyzer, try changing to syslog with TCP port like below:

  1. Refresh the FortiAnalyzer Admin GUI. The new device request from FortiMail should be visible and be able to log in from FortiMail.
