Description | This article describes the traffic shaping destination using ISDB. |
Scope | FortiGate. |
Solution |
FortiGate traffic shaping profile can configure destination using ISDB object. In this example, the limits of Anydesk file transfer speed will be 1Mbps.
Go to Policy & Objects -> Traffic Shaping -> Traffics Shapers -> edit/create a new traffic shaper.
2. Create new traffic policies. Go to Policy & Objects -> Traffic Shaping -> Traffics Shaping Policies -> Create New. Configure the source interface, outgoing interface, source address, and destination and select Internet Service filter by 'anydesk'.
3. Enable 'Apply shaper' and choose 'low-priority' for shared shaper and reverse shaper.
4. Test result: the bandwidth utilization did not more than 1Mbps. If the bandwidth is more than 1Mbps then it will show dropped bytes.
