Description This article describes the traffic shaping destination using ISDB.
Scope FortiGate.
Solution

FortiGate traffic shaping profile can configure destination using ISDB object.

In this example, the limits of Anydesk file transfer speed will be 1Mbps.

 

  1. Edit/create a new traffic shaper.

Go to Policy & Objects -> Traffic Shaping -> Traffics Shapers -> edit/create a new traffic shaper.

     2. Create new traffic policies.

Go to Policy & Objects -> Traffic Shaping -> Traffics Shaping Policies ->  Create New.

Configure the source interface, outgoing interface, source address, and destination and select Internet Service filter by 'anydesk'.

 

     3. Enable 'Apply shaper' and choose 'low-priority' for shared shaper and reverse shaper.

     4. Test result: the bandwidth utilization did not more than 1Mbps.

If the bandwidth is more than 1Mbps then it will show dropped bytes.
