Technical Tip: How to Allow Access to Only Specific File(s) from Google Docs

Description	This article describes how to allow access to only specific file(s) from Google Docs and block others.
Scope	FortiGate.
Solution	Below are the requirements to allow access to specific file(s) list from Google Docs and block others. Web Filtering with Static URL Filter is enabled: URL filter Firewall Policy should be on Proxy Inspection Mode: Proxy mode inspection Deep Packet Inspection is enabled: Deep inspection Sample Configuration: On this configuration, it will be necessary to block access of any users to Google Docs Spreadsheet except for specific files. Create a Web Filter with URL static URL as shown below. The first URL is the link to the document that is necessary to allow access. The second URL is to block Google Docs Spreadsheet. Note that users can still access another type of Google Docs.   Configure firewall policy with proxy inspection mode.   Enable Web Filtering and choose the profile created earlier. It is also necessary to enable Deep-Inspection.   Result: It is not possible to access Google Docs Spreadsheet but it is possible to access specific links/documents configured on URL Filter.
