Description

This article discusses Automated Deployment with Jamf.

Scope

FortiEDR.

Solution

Access permissions issue when installing the MacOS v4 Collector.

In the link, one can find a new path-based Jamf profile that installs FortiEDR MacOS Collector v4.1 without the need for end-user approval.

This profile should be used and provided along with the latest Collector v4.1.0.x which can be requested via the console. A copy of the profile can be provided upon request via a support ticket.

1) Go to Computers -> Configuration Profiles & press the 'Upload' button to upload.

2) Follow Jamf Instructions for deployment.

Important points based on the experience with Jamf: identify the Collector application using the path and not the bundleID, do not forget the ES extension, check the FDA list in Preferences and **remove** both (if appeared) prior to deploying with MDM, judging by Google the right thing to choose is System Policy All Files.
