I have been using Oxidized successfully for several months now. It uses SSH to log into the device and download the config on a regular basis, diff's the result with the most current backup and then archives using Git so that you have all the history as well as a backup. Highly recommended.

Hi,

I would suggest to publish an sftp server and use auto-script on firewall to backup the configuration on a regular basis.
