Effective January 2023 under our new process, extensions on devices wherein the renewal order is in progress have been completely eliminated. 

It is strongly recommended to always ensure that contract renewals are purchased sufficiently in advance of contract expiry dates since the notifications of expiry is sent 3 months, 2 months, and 1 month prior to the expiration date from no-reply-renewal@fortinet.com.
