Technical Tip: Steps to view the status and kill a specific process on the FortiWLC

Description

This article describes the commands to verify the status of a specific process and the command to kill the process on the FortiWLC.

Scope

FortiWLC v8.6.

Solution

Get into the 'dli' mode using the 'dli' command.
Execute the below command to verify the status of a specific process: for example, 'hostapd' process:

For example, in the below screenshot, the 'hostapd' process is killed and after that, the PID changed from 6049 to 16711.
