How does an AP in Bridge mode behave when the controller gets disconnected from the network?

When the AP is in bridge mode, anytime the controller loses the connectivity to the network, the AP continues to run even if the keep-alive timeout of 25 has expired.  Being in bridge mode, the AP does not reboot and keeps running till link duration period and serves the WiFi clients.
