What is DHCP Override in VLAN configuration option do?

Scope

KB ARTICLE TYPE: Troubleshooting

RELATED PRODUCTS: controller

RELATED SOFTWARE VERSIONS: N/A

KEYWORDS: VLAN, controller

Solution
This will allow the user to specify a specific DHCP server for that particular VLAN.  Without this, all DHCP requests from a wireless station will be sent to the configured Global DHCP server.  This is the DHCP server seen in the "show controller" output.  With override on, you can direct DHCP packets to whichever DHCP server is appropriate for that VLAN.
