Description

When pinging the Motorola Symbol 9090G handhelds (bar code scanner), the response time is either very slow or it times out. What are the possible reasons?

Solution

One possible reason is the scanner is set to low power output. The Barcode scanners there are 3 level of power settings. Low, Medium and High.

Try setting it to high, this would help in improving the ping response & maintain a good connectivity.
