Solution
For legacy controllers(MC1000/MC1500/MC1550/MC3200, MC4100, MC5000), there are no options in the Software to detect power/fan failures.
From SD 6.0, Fan/Power failure detection for MC4200 Platform will be supported , Alarm(on CLI) , Syslog, Trap based on the configuration will be supported.
MC4200 has dual power, and it can be running even one power module failure happens. On all other platforms, software cannot be running at the moment the power module goes down.
