Not able to send SMS via IDM to a non-UK mobile number

First, verify if the SMS Service is configured as "SMTP to  SMS gateway" or "SMPP" by navigating to Devices->SMS Settings. If it is configured as "SMTP to SMS gateway", modify the Language Template to include + in the destination component of respective SMS notification template. This can be done by navigating to Guest Portals->Language Templates, open template that is being used and go to Notifications tab. Edit the SMS destination as below:

+%MOBILENUMBER%

Now the SMS is send to the gateway where the mobile number starts with +(countrycode)-(number).
