Clients dropping from wireless and seeing 'Coord interbss handoff' as a reason for Deauth when a client is moved between AP's.
Scope
KB ARTICLE TYPE: Troubleshooting
RELATED PRODUCTS: Clients and Access Points.
RELATED SOFTWARE VERSIONS: 3.X,4.X,5.X
KEYWORDS: Coord interbss handoff, deauth packet.
Solution
As the AP302's are NOT licensed for 802.11n and provide 802.11a on the 5.0 GHz radio and the AP311's are licensed for 802.11n and provide 802.11an on the 5.0 GHz radio, there would be different bssid values generated for the AP's as seen on the ess-ap table for the same ess profile.
This causes the station to re-authenticate when it moves from one AP to the other. The radio settings on all the AP's of the same hardware type should be same for it to be a part of one virtual cell.
