Disable UDP Upstream Broadcast on All Ports
The success or failure of the upgrade in 5.3-50 is based on the state of the Upstream Ports check-box. Unchecking the “Allow UDP Upstream Broadcast on All Ports” box allowed the upgrade to complete. Engineering provided the following table for reference.
S.NO | AP Image | Controller | IP UDP Broadcast Upstream all ports | Result |
|
|
|
|
|
1 | 5.3-53 or lower | 5.3-105 and Higher | ON | AP will Crash |
2 | 5.3-105 or higher | 5.3-105 or higher | ON | AP will not Crash |
3 | 5.3-53 or lower | 5.3-105 and Higher | OFF | AP will not Crash |
4 | 5.3-105 or higher | 5.3-105 or higher | OFF | AP will not Crash |
To find the checkbox in the controller UI navigate to
Configuration > Devices > System Settings
> select UDP Broadcast Ports > Upstream Ports
> Allow UDP Upstream Broadcast on All Ports > checkbox
When the upgrade is complete you can re-check the Allow UDP Upstream box if that feature is being used.
