Crazy installer. The online installer sometimes cannot find the server
to download the actual installer. When it finally did, I realized I
missed the advanced configuration button to disable the "optional
features" as I only want IPSEC VPN. So I unin...
Curious what people do when upgrading their Fortigate hardware? We have
an older 80C and need to upgrade to a 90D to take advantage of a new
200Mb/s internet service (why is there a gigabit WAN port but only
10/100 LAN ports on the 80C?). I did not c...
Trying out the FortiClient for Mac software (5.2.3 seems to be the
latest that is auto-downloaded by the installer). Already successfully
using the Windows version. The Mac version seems very basic, with no
advanced VPN or Phase configuration. The li...
I've been fielding complaints by users saying their VPN is dropping
multiple times for no reason. It's been very puzzling, because the event
logs do not show any real reason.Today (early morning), I was connected
with 5.2.4 on Windows 10, everything ...
We have an older Fortigate 80C running v4.0,build0303,101214 (MR2 Patch
3). We currently have a few Windows 7 remote clients using an older
version of the Fortigate VPN client but now we have a user with a new
notebook with Windows 8.1. I downloaded ...
SteveG wrote:It's been out for weeks! I'm running it on my Mac Air as we
speak...... I downloaded it from the Fortinet support portal. The
auto-installer installs an older version is the thing. I did ultimately
find 5.4.2 after speaking with support,...
This may be the cause of my issue--5.4.1.514 and when I try to enable
IPSEC VPN I just get an immediate error -111 (address already in use and
address not bound errors in log). I didn't realize this may be because I
updated to Sierra. Where is 5.4.2?...
I have 5.2.3 370. I don't know how to get 5.2.4 as the installer "stub"
seems to download whatever it wants. One would think it's the most
current, but apparently in this case, it is downloading for me an older
version. It's good to know that I shoul...
That is the sticking point, though, is there doesn't seem to be any
IPSEC options on the Mac client to configure! On Windows I have
"Advanced VPN" and there I can make changes to Phase 1 and 2, etc., but
I cannot find those on the Mac client. Apart f...
In case anyone has a similar issue with IPSEC DHCP, the problem was that
I needed a firewall policy set that passes DHCP from internal to WAN
using action ENCRYPT, and also on the DHCP service, the interface should
be your WAN port, not the internal....
